Better Communication together
Our group, "Better Communication Together," is all about helping you talk better with your parents and caregivers. We know that talking well is super important in our everyday lives. Our group is a friendly and welcoming place where you can learn, practice, and get better at expressing what you need and how you feel. We believe that when we communicate better, it helps us understand each other, makes our relationships stronger, and makes life better for everyone.
What We Do:
Practice Talking: In our group, we have fun role-playing, like acting in a play. We practice talking about real stuff like talking to your parents about going to the doctor, telling them how you feel, or asking for help with things you need. It's like practicing a game to get really good at it!
Learn Cool Stuff: We have lots of cool stuff to learn, like videos, stories, and guides to help you talk better. Everything we share is made just for us, so it fits our needs.
Talk to Friends: You can meet friends here who understand what it's like because they might be going through similar things. We talk to each other, share stories, help each other out, and become better at talking together.
Take Classes: Sometimes, we have classes taught by experts. They teach us things like using special devices to talk or understanding when someone doesn't use words to communicate. It's like going to school but more fun!
Set Goals and Track Progress: We believe in setting goals. We help you set your own goals and keep track of how well you're doing. When you reach your goals, we celebrate together!
Become Stronger: Our big goal is to make you stronger in talking for yourself. When you're strong in talking, life gets better, and you and your parents and caregivers can understand each other more.
